Man dies of cardiac arrest while performing Surya Namaskar in Madhya Pradesh
A man died of cardiac arrest while doing yoga and performing the Surya Namaskar on the occasion of ‘World Meditation Day’ on Sunday in Ashok Nagar town of Madhya Pradesh.
Six months after his wife was murdered, a bullet-ridden body of railway employee Pradip Choudhury was found inside his official quarters at Chittaranjan Railway township.

Six months after his wife was murdered, a bullet-ridden body of railway employee Pradip Choudhury was found inside his official quarters at Chittaranjan Railway township.
His wife, Sanchita Choudhury, was shot dead by unidentified assailants inside the same house about six months ago. No arrests have been made in connection with her murder so far. In fact, officers from Chittaranjan police station under the Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate had interrogated Pradip several times in relation to the case.

According to sources, the couple’s son, Debditta Choudhury, raised an alarm after finding the door locked from inside. When locals helped open the door, Pradip was discovered lying in a pool of blood. He was rushed to Kasturba Gandhi Hospital in Chittaranjan, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have seized a firearm from the spot. It is still unclear whether Pradip took his own life or was murdered. An investigation has been launched.
Sandip Karra, DCP (West) of the Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate, said that the body had been sent for post-mortem. “The investigation has just begun and is in its preliminary stage. The door of the quarters was locked from inside and a weapon was recovered,” he stated.
At the time of the incident, Pradip’s son was reportedly outside the house, and no gunshot was heard from the adjacent railway quarters. The incident has created a stir in the otherwise secure railway township.
Pradip Choudhury was employed with the **Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW).
